Data controller
CleverAI is a trade name of AZINOVE SAS, a French SAS (Société par actions simplifiée) registered with the RCS Strasbourg under number 897 432 324, whose registered office is at 13 Rue de Dahlenheim, 67200 Strasbourg, France.AZINOVE SAS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Information we collect
We collect information in two main ways:
- Information you submit. The contact form asks for your first and last name, work email address, an optional phone number, an optional company name, and details about the project you want to discuss. Please do not include confidential or sensitive information in the project brief.
- Call bookings. If you book a call through our scheduling page on cal.eu, we receive your name, email address, the time you choose and anything you write in the booking form.
- Website usage information. Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics provide information about visits and interactions, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser or device type, referral source, and technical identifiers. The two are not treated the same: Vercel Analytics is cookieless and runs on every visit, while Google Analytics loads only if you opt in to the Analytics category in the consent banner — reject or ignore it and no Google tag is requested. The Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored. The information available also depends on your browser and privacy settings.
Why we use information, and on what legal basis
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), each use of personal data needs a legal basis:
- Answering your contact-form request or call booking and discussing a possible project: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, where no contract is in view, our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the French ePrivacy rules). You can withdraw it at any time from the cookie settings; withdrawal does not affect earlier processing.
- Vercel Analytics (cookieless, aggregate audience measurement) and security logs used to run the website, prevent abuse and fix technical problems: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping records and answering authorities when the law requires it: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
Who receives information (processors)
We do not sell personal data. We use these service providers, which act as processors on our behalf:
- HubSpot (customer relationship management): receives contact-form submissions so we can review and answer them. Our HubSpot account uses European Union data hosting.
- Postmark (email delivery): if HubSpot cannot be reached, the contact-form submission is emailed to our team instead so your request is not lost.
- Cal.com (meeting scheduling, through its EU-hosted service at cal.eu): receives your booking details when you book a call with us, and sends the invitation and reminders.
- Vercel (website hosting, content delivery and Vercel Analytics).
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you opt in.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, our users, or our rights.
Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel, Google and Postmark are based in the United States, and the parent companies of HubSpot and Cal.com are too, so personal data may be processed in or accessed from the United States. For these transfers we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the providers' additional security measures. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar browser identifiers, and loads only after you opt in. Vercel Web Analytics is designed to provide aggregate measurements without using cookies. Read our Cookie Policy for more detail and browser-control options.
How long we keep information
- Contact-form requests and call bookings: up to three years after our last contact with you, in line with the CNIL's guidance for business prospects. If you become a client, for the length of the business relationship and then as long as French law requires us to keep business and accounting records.
- Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
- Hosting and security logs: no longer than 30 days.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use (including any further contact from us), and to receive the data you gave us in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@cleverai.ai; we answer within one month. You can also limit analytics through your browser settings and the options described in our Cookie Policy.
If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL (Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, cnil.fr), or to the authority of the EU country where you live or work.
Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy as the website or its services change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
